Telescopes, newspaper hats and teepees

When I first started my blog I made sure that I updated my blog at least 1 time a week.  Now I am barely making it to 1 time a month.  My New Year's resolution included not neglecting my blog any longer but it also included streamlining my work a little bit more, spending more time with my girls and spending less time on the computer.  So until I find a happy medium I will try my hardest to continue posting.

This is one of the most recent sessions I had the pleasure of doing.   I have a sweet spot for little boys (probably because I always wanted one).  It included newspaper hats, telescopes made of toilet paper rolls and home made teepees.  

  

Best Face of 2012

Last year was filled with so many beautiful, and angelic faces it was hard to choose one for the Iheart Faces - Best Face of 2012 challenge.   I had to choose one of my favorite little people in the whole world.  My nephew Lucas....that hair and those eyes.   He laughs and runs away when he sees me (he knows  he will get attacked with kisses if he comes close).  I can't wait to see what a handsome young man he grows into!

Project 365

In 2011 my project 365 (take one picture a day for the entire year) was reduced to project 52 (one picture a week).  Very shortly after it went on the shelf and I enjoyed everyone else's project posts. Last year it started out great until February when life got in the way and once again the project was tanked.

This year I am going to attempt it again.  This time I am not going to make it an obligation but I will make it  a fun way to better my photography skills and practice, practice, practice.  It will also be a great way to document the girls  as they are my favorite subject and probably the focus of my daily photos.

So I am ready with a Fresh New Tab on my blog called Project 365, my camera, and an enthusiasm for a new day filled with new and exciting things to photograph.

AWAITING A BLESSING

We sometimes take for granted the miracle of having a baby.  When it happens it is magical and a true blessing.  I hope you enjoy this sneak peak of this beautiful mommy to be.  She had a beautiful maternity glow and enjoyed the beauty of expecting her first child.

FRIENDSHIP

Siblings...I once read that siblings are the only people who can bother you just because they can and then turn around and protect you against anyone else who tries.

The friendship between them is so special and pure.  

This month I am entering this image into I heart's photo challenge "Friendship".  I'm not sure why these two sisters were laughing at each other (although me jumping up and down and making pretend I was going to fall to get their attention could have been a reason).  

Whatever it was it was genuine and precious.

AROUND THE WORLD

Baby Fabiana came down to Miami from Venezuela  to spend a couple of days enjoying our wonderful weather and attractions.  While here her family wanted to capture family portraits to celebrate her one year of age.  

We had a great time in Peace Mound park and enjoyed a nice picnic in the park.  

  

TINY TOES..

Time goes by so fast.  Before you know it weeks, months and years go by and we all wonder where the time went.  One thing we all cherish is the first few months with our children.  They  go by so fast as we long to remember exactly how they looked, felt, smelled forever.  Their tiny hands, feet and how they felt when we coral them in our arms.  

This beautiful baby was so sweet and angelic. I enjoyed this session and was excited when I was able to capture her beautiful blue eyes staring back at us at the end.
